Creating a space that serves every member of the family requires a thoughtful approach to layout and levels. For this project in Baulkham Hills, the goal was to build a substantial 12m x 5m retreat that felt like a natural extension of the home’s living area. By designing the pool level with the existing pergola, we were able to create a seamless transition that allows for the perfect view of the water directly from the kitchen.
This concrete pool in Sydney was designed with a “resort-at-home” influence, balancing zones for both high-energy play and quiet relaxation. We incorporated dedicated beach areas, providing a shallow entry point that is ideal for the kids to splash around safely while staying close to the main action. For the adults, a stunning integrated spa offers a more secluded spot to unwind while still being part of the family environment.
The aesthetic is clean and contemporary, utilising large-format stone pavers and minimalist glass fencing to keep the sightlines open across the yard. Because we handled everything from the initial pool design in Sydney to the final touches, we ensured that the technical aspects, like drainage and level transitions, worked perfectly with the site’s unique slope. The result is a family-friendly layout that doesn’t sacrifice style for functionality.
